Partial Cashout

Jordan Reid · 2026-09-09 · 5 min read

Partial cashout is a feature that lets players withdraw a portion of their active bet during a live crash round, securing some profit or reducing exposure while leaving the remainder of the stake in play.

In a standard crash game, you either cash out your full bet before the multiplier crashes or lose everything. Partial cashout changes that dynamic. Instead of an all-or-nothing decision, you can lock in a return on part of your wager at one multiplier and let the rest ride higher. For example, if you bet $100 and the multiplier reaches 2×, you might cash out $60 worth of your bet — receiving $120 back on that portion — while keeping $40 active in hopes of a 5× or higher outcome.

The practical effect is a split-risk approach within a single round. The portion you cash out is safe the moment you confirm it; the remaining stake is still subject to the crash. If the game crashes immediately after your partial cashout, you collect the secured return and lose only the leftover amount. If the multiplier keeps climbing, the remaining stake continues to grow. This makes partial cashout particularly useful when a round is moving fast and you want to guarantee some return without fully exiting a position that still looks promising.

One important caveat: partial cashout does not eliminate risk — it redistributes it. Players sometimes fall into the trap of cashing out too little too early, then watching the remaining stake vanish in a sudden crash. Discipline in deciding how much to secure and at what multiplier is just as important as the decision to use partial cashout at all. Treating it as a guaranteed profit mechanism rather than a risk-management tool is a common mistake among newer players.

Not every crash game offers this feature, so check the game rules before building it into your session strategy. When available, partial cashout is one of the more tactically interesting mechanics the format has to offer.
