Playthrough

Playthrough (also called a wagering requirement) is the total amount you must bet before bonus funds or bonus winnings can be converted into withdrawable cash.

When a crash gambling site offers a bonus — a deposit match, free credits, or a welcome package — it almost never lets you withdraw that money immediately. Instead, it attaches a playthrough multiplier to the bonus. A common example: you receive a $100 bonus with a 30x playthrough requirement. That means you must place $3,000 in total wagers before the bonus balance unlocks. Only after crossing that threshold can you request a withdrawal of any resulting winnings.

In crash games, meeting a playthrough requirement carries a specific risk worth understanding. Because crash titles can end in an instant — especially if you cash out early at low multipliers — your bets count toward the requirement, but low-multiplier rounds return most of your stake. High-volatility rounds where you ride the multiplier higher can drain your balance quickly if the rocket crashes before you exit. The house edge on every round works against you the entire time you are grinding through the requirement, so the larger the multiplier and the longer the playthrough, the more of the bonus value is statistically eroded by the time you clear it.

Always check these details before accepting any bonus:

  • Playthrough multiplier — how many times the bonus (or bonus + deposit) must be wagered
  • Game contribution rate — some sites count crash game bets at less than 100% toward the requirement
  • Time limit — most bonuses expire within 7–30 days if the playthrough is not completed
  • Maximum bet rule — many sites cap individual bets while a bonus is active, often at $5–$10 per round

Reading the full terms before claiming a bonus is the only reliable way to judge whether a playthrough requirement is realistic given your usual bet size and playing style.
